MyCampFriends.com is a social networking website designed for alumni of summer camps. Find old friends from your camp days to join their online cabin, and find all of your summer camps to join their MyCampFriends.com online community.
What does it cost to join MyCampFriends.com?
All of the features you currently see on MyCampFriends.com are 100% free to use.
How do I sign-up for MyCampFriends.com?
Follow theìSign-Upî link on our home-page, send us your e-mail address, and weíll send a temporary password back to that same e-mail address. Follow the link in that e-mail, and then enter your e-mail address and temporary password when asked. Youíll then be able to create your account and profile, upload your MyCampFriends gallery from Flickr, and start finding your camps and camp friends.
How do I add a friend to My Cabin on MyCampFriends.com?
When you find a camp friend on the site, you may click ìadd me as a friendî, and a friend request to be sent to that user. A user may then accept or decline your friend request.
How do I e-mail friends on MyCampFriends.com?
You may only contact someone once they have joined your cabin, which necessitates sending a friend request to another user. Once they are in your cabin, you may access the ìe-mail meî feature on their personal profile page. Please note that when you e-mail another user, they will be allowed to see the e-mail address you used to sign-up for MyCampFriends.com.
How come I can't e-mail certain other users, even if they're in My Cabin?
If a user chooses to "hide" their e-mail as part of setting up/editing their account, then that user cannot be contacted at this time.
How do I set up my account so that other users in My Cabin can/can't e-mail me?
Go to "My Account" or "Edit My Camp Record", and choose to "hide" your e-mail address if you don't want to be contacted by other users in your Cabin; or choose to "show" your e-mail address if you wish to be contacted by other users in your Cabin. You may always change your contact preference by returning to "My Account" or "Edit My Camp Record".
How many friends can I have in my cabin on MyCampFriends.com?
The more the better! Invite all of your camp friends to join the site and be a part of your cabin and camp page. If a camp friend is not yet a user of the site, follow the link to ìInvite a Camp Friendî on the top navigational bar.
How do I join a camp on MyCampFriends.com?
First, find your camp by entering itsí name in the camp search box, located in the upper right corner of every page. When your camp appears in the search results, click ìhey, thatís my camp,î and a request will be sent to the camp page moderator for approval. You may sign up for several camps if you attended more than one, but may only make one camp your ìFavoriteî camp; meaning this is the camp for which you can enter your profile information on your personal camp page.

We have made every attempt to program the site with most association-recognized summer camps. However, we realize there may be some gaps in our database. If your camp isnít yet on the site, you can e-mail your camp name, town and state where your camp is located, and any other pertinent information (i.e. an official website for your camp, names of your camp owner/directors, and a .jpeg of your official camp logo) to our database team at: SuggestMyCamp@mycampfriends.com. Once weíve verified your camp, itíll be entered into our database and youíll be able to register for that camp.
What in the world is Canteen?
Good question. Canteen is the part of the site where anything goes, including contests, polls, information on our featured camps and featured camp alumni. Be sure to keep checking back for more information on Canteen, and how you can become a contributor.
How do I ìAsk The Camp Nurseî a question?
MrCampFriends.comís resident nurse, Shirley, will be happy to answer any question you have. You can enter a question by following the ìAsk The Camp Nurseî link on the top navigational bar. Questions will be answered and displayed every few weeks.
I donít remember my MyCampFriends.com password. Will I be sent home for the summer?
This is very serious, and the camp director would like to see you in his office. Good news: itís the only air-conditioned room in camp. No, you wonít be sent home for the summer if you forgot your password. Follow the ìforgot my passwordî link on the sign-in page, and it will be e-mailed to you.
How do I know when someone has viewed My Camp Profile page? Do other users know when Iíve viewed their page?
There is no system in place to track when a user views another userís profile page.
Who can view My Camp Page and/or e-mail me?
Any registered user can see your profile information, but only a friend in your cabin can e-mail you.

Additionally, any posted images which violate copyright laws will be removed by the site owners as per our legal policy, and that user may be removed from the site at the ownersí discretion.
