Unlike some other online social networking sites, MyCampFriends.com isn't owned by a summer camp or camp family. Then who are we? Thanks for asking. We're two guys who went to camp for a combined 22 years, and loved the experience enough to create the first website dedicated to networking amongst like-minded camp people. We’ve found that many Camp Directors are uncomfortable sharing their valuable alumni database with a website owned by a potentially competing camp. That isn't a problem on MyCampFriends.com.

WE WORK WITH YOU TO MONITOR CONTENT AND CAMP PAGES
As the online revolution continues, you can be certain that your current campers and alumni are already on myriad social networking websites sharing their memories, stories, and media. Accordingly, it can be difficult to keep track of what everyone’s saying about camp. On MyCampFriends.com, we work with camps via our “Head Counselor” program, to ensure that you’re always in the know about what people are saying about your camp. As “Head Counselor”, Camp Directors can elect to approve any comments before they’re posted, if they so choose; a luxury not offered by other sites.
