My Camp Facts |
Camp Greylock is located on the shores on Center Pond in Beckett Mass. The camp is named after Mount Greylock, the tallest point in the state, located about an hour away. The sister camp is Camp Romaca, located in Hinsdale, Mass.
The camps we played the most in intercamps were Winadu, Lenox, Taconic, Scatiico, and Brant Lake. The owner when I was there was an iconic figure named Bert Margolis who had been a camper as a kid, and had a 60 year association with the camp. The other owner was Irv Schwartz, for whom The Irv Schwartz Pavillion, a new indoor basketball arena, was dedicated after his passing.
